My cats loved this grass! I had been struggling with my cats getting into my house plants. Not only were they eating the green leaves but also knocking them over. I was fed up with the new behavior and decided to try growing them their own greens as a distraction. It worked like a charm! Now they enjoy their grass and leave my plants alone. During the initial growing phase (with the lid on), I placed the container near some electronics for additional warmth to help the seeds germinate. I noticed 2 days later the lid had popped off and the grass was pushing through. I moved the container to a sunny window sill where the cats couldn't reach until the entire container completely filled with grass. Only then did I put it down for the cats. They immediately started noshing on it. I now grow grass on a regular basis (bigger container) and they continue to enjoy the treat. This was a great introduction to growing fresh greens for my kitties. In the attached picture you can see the Sweet Greens to the right and the new bigger container of grass with the kitty laying in it in the center. Now my cats have their own plants to enjoy!
