After an extensive online search, and one disappointing Improvements.com purchase and return, I thought I would not find the perfect tree for 2011. Most trees in the $150 and under price range look so cheap. Although I would have preferred a multi-color version, this 28 inch diameter 7.5 feet high tree has turned out to be it for me. At 28 inches round at the bottom, it is a true slim tree. Many of the slim trees turn out to have a 42 inch round bottom. Despite its narrow width, it is perfectly proportioned for its height; and its height makes it impressive. Although the picture of the tree on Amazon makes it look like it has a yellow tint, I was relieved to see it is a normal Christmas green in reality. Unlike many of the trees in this price range, the branches start close to the floor. It took 30 minutes to touch and fluff each branch. The lights came on perfectly and stayed lit. I added one strand of 150 multi-color light-show LED lights, and a revolving stand I purchased online at Brylanehome.com, Item no. 1588-86178-1086. The revolving stand accepts up to 1000 lights. The tree fit perfectly in the revolving stand. The tree is a knock out decorated and turning slowly. This tree is full, lightweight and easy to handle, but sturdy enough to handle heavy ornaments. The shipping was prompt, and the only damage was to the plastic trunk coverings at the bottom of each section. I assume they were there to protect the trunk during shipment. I am quite pleased with this tree. National turned out to be a very good brand.
