Fischer Price Dollhouse
As a new dad with no sisters growing up, I'm fairly new to the whole dollhouse experience. While I would have loved (although not necessarily expected) some karate-chop action in the parent figures, or flamethrower accessories, this is a pretty cool looking fortress, no wait, I mean dollhouse, and my daughter loves it, even if she doesn't understand why GI Joe keeps trying to rappel up to the 4th floor balcony with his grappling hook. .
Seriously though, she really does love this dollhouse. I think it's pretty good for the price, as it's absolutely huge (close to 3 ft tall), but to be honest, I expected a lot more in terms of the "stuff" inside. There is some detail built into the walls, but hardly any furniture pieces that you can move around. There are some family members included, but only parents and baby, who appears to have just come from the hospital. It's a bit like a family just moving into their first apartment, where all they have is a moldy old sofa and some flowers on the wall.
Everything that she wants to play with is, of course, something I have to buy separately. That's a bit annoying, but typical I suppose, although someone with more experience in these sorts of girl-fortresses might know of a better alternative. Practically speaking, Cobra Commander and Skelator could just waltz right in the front door, as there are no missile launchers, so those must come in one of the accessory packs.
