So far, so good.
Well, I've had it for a few days now. The in dash CD player in the car died(don't they all), so I got this to plug into the aux in on the equalizer. Battery life is good-at least 10 hours on 2 alkaline AAs. Even with the ESP off, it does not skip in the car as long as the road is not too bumpy(I drive a very smooth riding car-Grand Marquis). The ESP works good when you need it. Most players in this price range show only the track, but this one also shows the time elasped. The included headphones give mediocre sound at best. But I've learned over the years to buy a nice pair of 'phones seperately. Then ALL of your portable listening devices will reach their full potential as far as sound quality goes. When I use it with headphones, I wear my favorite Sonys. There is a jack for external power, but the power adapter is not included. I will not bother with getting it-I'll get some rechargable AAs or just keep using alkalines-they're $1 for a 4 pack at the dollar store. It also has a line out jack, but is it really necessary? I just use the phones jack to connect it to the car stereo. The DBB dynamic bass boost does NOT work with the line output.
