Bought our first one almost 8 months ago and have been happy with it. In fact, I'm planning to buy our 4th today, along with a new mattress for our 2yo who is moving into her big-girl bed. It blocks most accidents from reaching the mattress. I wish it was 100%, but if the kids don't wake up right away after an accident, the liquid seems to seep through as it sits on the mattress for an hour or more. I have yet to find a mattress protector that prevents this, and so far this is the best one I've tried. Reviews are mixed on even more expensive options, so I don't think it's worth the investment in something fancier. These are breathable, quiet, soft, and easy to get on and off the mattresses. I put them in the washer and dryer, following the instructions carefully - especially LOW heat in the dryer and washing/drying them along with the sheets. When accidents do seep through, I have had good luck spraying the mattress with a mixture of 1c hydrogen peroxide, 3tbs baking soda, and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Let dry, vacuum, and the bed is ready to go!
