The most important book of my lifetime.
We have been led to believe that the history of this country was built on equality and freedom for EVERYBODY. The hard truth is that black people weren’t apart of that dream. The author has done a great job explaining that while black people have been excluded from the history books, black people can be seen as the true backbone of this country. I bought this book and the kids book, so that my kids don’t grow up thinking one way about this country only to be disappointed when they get older….like most of us.
