If they still make it years from now I'll likely buy it again.
I bought this mattress in the end of April and decided to wait to review it just in case something ended up going wrong with it. First off, 30 years old, 5'9" and 140lbs. It kind of bothers me when people review mattresses and don't include their body type. There is no mattress out there that is going to be great for every body type. Second, I have Ankylosing Spondylitis which is a rheumatic disease similar to rheumatoid arthritis but it mainly affects my spine. Specifically, my thoracic, lumbar, and sacrum (the bone that connects your spine to your hip bone). Needless to say, I live, and will continue to live, with back pain of varying degrees for the rest of my life. I have always preferred a firm mattress because I am, well used to be, a stomach sleeper. However, after 11 years of A.S. I can't do it anymore. I had a memory foam mattress years ago, it was very comfortable, I slept well in it, but when I woke up in the morning I was so stiff it felt like someone had beat me with a phonebook. Sitting or laying in one position for too long makes people that have A.S. hurt more. Anyone that has had a memory foam mattress knows that stuck feeling. I know that is a long setup to a review, but all of that comes into play when it comes to how comfortable a mattress is for me. After four months I can say I am very happy with my purchase and would have paid more for it if I had to. I actually bought a different mattress before this one but it ended up being too firm for me. There was nothing wrong with it, I just still had the mindset of liking a firm mattress when in reality I need a medium firmness. This mattress has the right combination of comfort characteristics that I need. This mattress is firm enough I don't sink in so far as to become the shape of a shallow bowl and soft enough that my hips don't have sore spots on them the next morning. A firm memory foam mattress that I returned before I bought this mattress caused me to have those sore spots. By far the best part of this mattress is the Energex foam layer. The Energex foam bounces back instantaneously. I did some research and it actually bounces back and provides more support after it absorbs body heat. I never have that stuck feeling I had with my memory foam mattress. Morning stiffness will always be a part of my life no matter what I sleep one, but it is much less pronounced with this mattress. I can finally sleep longer than an hour at a time. I finally don't feel tired all day every day. The build quality is very good. The cover is well made and very soft and the thin pillow top layer adds a little bit of the laying on a cloud feeling. All of the corners of the mattress were even with no bulging lumps or indentations. One complaint people have mentioned is the edge support. Like many other foam mattresses, edge support can be a problem. However, for me, it hasn't been so far. When I sleep my torso is usually about a foot away from the edge and my knees about six inches away. I have never had the feel that I was going to roll out of bed. In fact, unless I lay on my side with my knees sticking out over the edge or on my stomach with my arm hanging down off the mattress, I don't feel like I'm going to roll off at all. Also, this bed is very comfortable for laying on your back. I do when I watch TV before bed. I sink just enough that my lower back is supported but still in a straight line from head to toe. In fact, I have actually been able to sleep on my back when I had to due to a recurring problem with a vertebra that slips out of place in my lumbar spine. That's right, not a slipped disk, a slipped vertebra. When my vertebra slips out of place I have no option but to sleep on my back since it takes the most pressure off my spine allowing it to slide back in place. When my vertebra would slip and force me to sleep on my back ,on my old mattress, I would maybe get a combined 45-90 minutes of sleep each night. All that being said, comfort is going to come down to your body type, any physical issues, and preferred sleeping position. If you are on the heavy side you may sink in too much and start to feel pressure on your hips or shoulders. If you are lighter than me you will probably still enjoy this matters, especially with the pillowtop layer. Finally, I don't get hot on this mattress. I don't notice any difference in temperature compared to my spring mattress probably due to the Energex foam's temperature regulation characteristics and not sinking into one position all night. I live in Phoenix, Arizona so a hot mattress is not an option. By the way, the mattresses really are made here in the USA. After selecting the free 7-10 day shipping I received my bed in 4 days. Confused by the shipment tracking detail I looked up more information on the company Dreamfoam Bedding. Turns out it is a family owned business that manufactures their mattresses right here in Phoenix, Arizona. No wonder they don't sleep hot. Well, this was a long review, but I hope it helps. I am really happy with the mattress and when I remember how much I paid for it I get even happier. It's no easy for someone with back problems like me to find a mattress that is comfortable. It used to take an hour, sometimes two, for the morning pain and stiffness to subside with my last two mattresses. Now it only takes 30 minutes to an hour. For me, that is a big win! A couple month after I bought this mattress a coworker asked me, "how's that mattress you bought on Amazon working out?" That's when I realized I hadn't thought about my mattress lately, which was a good thing. Before buying this mattress I used to think about how much I hated my mattress daily.
