Need TCP Global adapter part ABD1/4-1/8M to mate with a typical compressor in US that has a 1/4 NPT connector
I purchased this kit because it included the air hose with the airbrush and the cost was less than purchasing the two separately. In order for the hose to work with many compressors such as the TNT pancake that I bought for inflating my car tires, one needs and adapter. The master air brush and the hose use British standard parallel connectors(BSPP) not the NPT that is common in the US and which the TNT compressor has. One cannot buy the adapter at Home Depot, or my local hardware store. Fortunately, TCPGlobal who is distributor for Master does have the adapter. They responded to emails with part numbers which I purchased and they work.
The main adapter is TCP Global part ABD1/4F1/8M. This part has the male parallel BSP 1/8 end to go into the airbrush or the hose. My compressor came with a quick disconnect on the air hose. TCP Global has a part CP21 which has a male thread on one end to mate with the ABD adapter and a quick release male which can go into the compressor's female quick release.
These parts are available on TCP Global's website and are priced with free shipping.
One can also buy G233 set without the nice flexible fiber reinforced hose and make your own hose. The set included a hose barb with a male BSP parallel connector to attach to the air brush. One can buy a neoprene or other hose to attach and then buy at Home Depot a 1/4NPT connector with hose barb for the other end to connect to the compressor. The Master part was not listed in the contents of Amazon's description so I don't know if its standard. You should also put a hose clamp on each end to prevent the hose from slipping or blowing off the barb.
