I transitioned to this one step dryer after being a Revlon user for over a year. I’m sold on this tool over Revlon, here’s why: 1. Temperature is hot, but not too hot. The temperature for this Hot Tools dryer is perfect. With my Revlon, the temperature always felt too high and on more than a few occasions I could actually see and smell my hair burning due to the heat no matter what kind of heat protectant I used. 2) Cool tip at the end of the barrel is much nicer. The tip on this is really nice and it has grippers to keep your hand from sliding. The Revlon dryer does not have this and I hated that I felt like my hand would slip around as I was drying my hair. 3) Interchangeable barrel/head This is such a nice feature. Now that I’ve cut my hair a bit shorter than shoulder length, the smaller barrel is not only much easier to use it just works much better. The Revlon model does not have this, and it worked alright when my hair was longer, but didn’t work at all for my hair once it was shoulder length or shorter. 4) End result looks more polished With my Revlon, no matter what products I used in my hair, the end result was straight and frizzy. Unless I went back with a straightener, I don’t think I’d ever get the smooth and shiny finish look I was trying to achieve. Using the same products as I was before, the result is a sleek and straight hairstyle that’s shiny and healthy looking. It’s giving me the fresh blowout look that I never thought I’d be able to achieve with a single tool at home. TLDR; Hot Tools over Revlon all day every day. This one is easier to use and temperature is hot enough to dry your hair quickly without burning it. If you want a sleek blowout look for your hair at any length, the interchangeable barrel will allow you to stick with one tool consistently.
