I was almost talked into getting a gel pad for my 8 month old Original Mattress Factory king bed, but was worried about breathability as I was already waking up hot and sweaty after 3 hours of sleep. So I wanted something that was moisture wicking or breathable. I'm a side sleeper and even with nearly 3 inches of pillow top, I would still wake up and have to roll over every 1-2 hours. I took a chance with this as the price was half of what I was about to spend on a memory foam or gel pad. PLUS I worried about a pad shifting or moving under the sheets. The first night I didn't notice the "cloud of pillows" but didn't wake up hot and sweaty. The second night is when I noticed the pillow effect. I guess it needed time to expand or loosen up from being vacuum packed. My brother, roommate, and 2 neighbors have all bought them and LOVE this fitted pillow topper too!!!
