It is kinda like a Vanilla Tootsie Roll wrapped in rice paper (which is edible), and wrapped again in wax paper (not edible) in a plastic bag. If I recall the bag comes with 25-35 pieces in it. OK, so you may be wondering why get these when you could just get a bag of Vanilla Tootsie Rolls at a local drug store, well, these are better than Vanilla Tootsie Rolls, and the rice paper does a great job cleansing the pallet from anything you have already eaten or the previous piece you just ate, thus enhancing the vanilla flavor when the rice paper finally dissolves.
