Once washed these sateen pillowcases are a good weight and reasonably soft, and fit the standard-size pillows for which they were purchased. The fabric does NOT appear to be 1000 threads to the inch; they appear to be more like 300-400 count. But thread count can be measured in different ways, and the fabric is fully satisfactory. I ordered the standard/queen size, but the package I received was labelled queen/king. Happily I got a prompt response from the seller letting me know I could return them if I wasn't satisfied, and now that they are washed & dried (on low heat) I find that they are not too big. They now measure 19" X 28 1/2" ....they would be too small for a King size pillow. I bought the dark grey, and found that the color did run in the wash. I'm satisfied with the cases, but think the website should clarify what size they are selling, including the measurements post-laundering, and to be fully up-front about how thread count is being calculated-- in this case it appears to be the plies not the threads as woven.
