I bought this to place by my door, so I don't have to drag mud and dirt through the house when it rains. I filled it with black river rocks that I bought at Lowes, and some other rocks I bought at Home Depot. it's so heavy I can vacuum over it to remove any dirt, so it's only once a quarter that I empty out the rocks and clean the plastic tray.
