This heat press is super easy to use, and a great value! I, like most reviewers, was hesitant and researching back and forth between this and the Cricut easy press. The price difference was so big that I felt I had to give this one a try. If it didn't work out, Amazon has a good return policy. I have had this now for 8 months. I've used it with cheaper and more expensive vinyl including metallic, glitter, and regular. I have layered with it and it works great and I've had no problems with designs lifting after wash. I noticed some reviewers didn't like the size which was a concern for me. It is 10 by 12, but the corners are rounded so it's not a square like the easy press. Now I have come to see why and where that becomes a problem. I do a lot of sweatshirt designs and a lot of times the design is just outside the margins. It makes it very difficult to have to press a second time on a very small area with such a big press. Then you have to worry about too much heat on any overlapping areas, not to mention double the time spent. Unfortunately it took me 8 months of working with it to realize that. Ultimately, I just went out today to purchase the Cricut easy press 2. This one is a great heat press that works very well for home use. However, if you're looking to sell tee shirts and sweatshirts with larger designs, you might be better off getting the easy press 2.
