I'm truly surprised that more people aren't giving this luxury beauty box stellar reviews! First and foremost, before I go into the actual box contents, know this: Within a couple of days of receiving this box, I received a promotional credit equal to the cost of the box! This credit can be used toward a wide variety of luxury beauty items! There are so many items to choose from, too. I just used mine a few hours ago; I ordered the LORAC Limited Edition Pink Champagne Eye Shadow/Cheek Palette. The price, $19. My cost, ZERO! Nothing from this palette was in my sample box. I don't think you necessarily have to use your credit toward something in the box, just something approved in the luxury beauty category. Now I'll get to the actual box contents. Yes, there were three very nice samples for men in my box: Calvin Klein Eternity for Men, John Varvatos fragrance for men, and Proraso after shave balm. IN MY OPINION... the ONLY reason anybody should be upset about this is if they have absolutely NO relationship with even one man. Personally, I'm in a committed relationship. I also have friends with boyfriends/husbands. Male friends, male coworkers. Two brothers. And my dad. I gave these three very nice samples to my father. He appreciated them, and my gesture made him happy. I would've been glad to do so even if it wasn't the season for giving...which it IS! To those reviewers complaining about these men's samples being useless to them, really? No, seriously. REALLY? Surely there's ONE man out there you think enough of? I usually don't get annoyed about little things like this. But when I saw so many complaints about a couple of men's samples, in a box full of HIGH-END women's samples that far exceed the price of this box (but complaints about those, too?!) in a purchase which offers a promotional credit that just got me a FREE LORAC limited edition eye/cheek palette, I HAD to say something in defense of Amazon.
