Well, I had this mounted on the rear underside of my car, magnet to the underbody where the spare tire is, near the rear bumper. My car was parked on the roadway when it was hit head-on by a drunk driver. The drunk hit my vehicle with so much force that her Jeep rolled over in the street and my car was immediately totaled. She hit my vehicle with such great force that my car was pushed into the vehicle behind mine, and that vehicle was also totaled just from the secondary impact of my own. A day later after my car was separated from the vehicle behind it and it was towed to a collision storage shop, I thought to check to see if the spare key was still there, almost convinced that there was no way in hell it would be. To my astonishment, this Master Lock key case did not budge an inch. I couldn't recommend this more, other than to advise that if you think your keys may rust from weather and/or moisture, just simply place it in a sealed baggie before putting into the case.
