The backplate is a hard and sturdy plastic while the sides consist of flexible silicone. The buttons are easy to press and the protection is not overbearing to thickness and size. Much better than your average iPhone condom. I do wish there was a plastic sliding shield over the sound/vibrating phone switch, but that's an engineering challenge on Spigen's side. I highly recommend a screen protector and a shield for the camera for a full SWAT protection gear upgrade to your iP12ProMax.
