I am impressed
I'm out of shape. Desperately out of shape. 2 pregnancies and 7 years out of shape. And damn busy.
That being said, I want to be healthier. Changing eating habits helps, but it is not enough.
After much research (and badgering by a cousin who thinks she's gonna get rich selling this stuff) I elected to try this T25. I can afford the 25 minute/day commitment.
I have tried and used many exercise tapes (yes tapes) and dvds over the years: the good, bad and ugly. This is by far my favorite.
It is difficult (especially for fat, 42 year old me), but the low impact modifications work well and maybe I'll get to the point where the unmodified exercises are possible (but I suspect I will stay with the low impact modifications to spare my joints).
Shaun T is motivating without being annoying. I've used the set for almost a month now without wanting to throw something at him, and the others in the video keep their mouths shut.
My very favorite part of the videos? There is a countdown timer in the corner of the screen that shows your progress. I'm a clockwatcher by nature, and this appeals to me.
The negative? Before every video you have to watch an add for "Shakeology". I might want to try it but it is darned expensive, and shakes never satiate me.
Also, while the program is touted as 25 minutes 5 days a week, the recommendation is for a double workout on the fifth day (so 50 minutes) and a stretching workout of 25 minutes on the 6th day.
I also suspect that a weight program will need to be added as I go on, if I want to rebuild my seriously depleted muscle mass.
That all being said, I highly recommend this program for anyone than needs to get back on the fitness horse.
