THE UNIVERSE HAS SMILED UPON ME IN FORM OF THE MINI EDUCATOR. So. I adopted a dog back in November. THE SWEETEST girl, loves all people, all kids, never barks, doesn't chew, pretty much a dream dog right? Not exactly. My little lady is a 2 year old husky/retriever/shephard mix and that equals a disaster when it comes to chasing little critters/people on bikes/runners you name it. Whenever she sees a chipmunk or squirrel or rabbit, her eyes would literally glaze over and her pupils dilated to where I was convinced a demon had taken over her body. She would not listen to my calls whatsoever. Once we are inside, she is super obedient and glued to my hip and follows me everywhere but something about being outside in nature, she has extreme selective hearing. She loves to hike and swim and it would really limit me on where I could take her because I knew the second she spotted a deer, her instincts would kick in and she would leave me high and dry. I thought she was a lost cause. One day, I meet this woman at the dog park who told me about this e-collar. She owns a husky and told me the collar literally transformed him into an obedient dog. I was pretty doubtful that anything could overpower the sheer-instinctual-demonic will of my dog, but after seeing how her dog would just follow her around on hikes and not leave her side, convinced me to try it. It took 2 DAYS for Nora to change. 2 freaking days. The first day, I kept her on a long leash and the dog park and would call her to come and give her a little buzz. I had to crank it to 50 once because she was so stubborn (she jumped like 4 feet in the air, it was pretty funny- DON'T worry all of you people shaking your head right now in disapproval, it doesn't hurt them), but after that I kept it on 15-20 and thats good. Now I just have to use the vibrate button and she comes running back to me. I seriously wanted to cry, I was so shocked and happy she was choosing to ignore a little critter and come back to me. If anyone out there has a stubborn dog PLEASE GET THIS COLLAR. It has literally changed my life. I am now so confident to take her on hikes or camping and not have to worry about her running off and taking an hour or two to find her (Its happened before.) THANK YOU to whoever invented this amazing contraption.
