I'm now over 40 and I'm feeling the cumulative effects of 20+ years of skateboarding injuries. The pain in my left knee is such that I can't walk more than a mile now without the pain becoming too overwhelming and walking downhill or downstairs afterward is just excruciating. I decided that I didn't want my knee pain to ruin my vacation plans to take my kids to a certain mouse-themed amusement park for three days, so I ordered these knee sleeves hoping that they weren't as useless some of the other knee braces I've tried in the last ten years. I'm so thankful that I did because after three full days of marching all over Anaheim, it was just my feet that were aching, not my knee. I'm not the type to leave a review on Amazon, but the service I received and the experience I had with these sleeves convinced me that I needed to do so. FYI, I ordered these in medium as my thigh measures 19" at 5" above the center of my kneecap and the graphic indicated that the upper limit for the medium was 19.5". At first this seemed comfortable snug, but I noticed on the second day of use that the medium sleeve left my leg bruised and tender. I was disappointed and decided that these were just like all the other products I've tried that didn't help. Then Kevin at Blitzu actually emailed me just to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. He offered to refund my purchase when he discovered that I was not pleased with the fit. Based on the customer service that I received, I decided to reorder the sleeves in large, which are just perfect. I've worn them everyday for a week now with NO knee pain and no tenderness in my thigh from the sleeve. I would totally endorse these if I had ever gone pro. If you want to manage knee pain, I recommend these wholeheartedly, but I'd also recommend ordering a size up if you are within an inch of the upper limit.
