This has been a miracle drug for me. I suffer from IBS-CIC and have been prescribed medication for this condition for over a year, but have had symptoms for several years. I changed insurance and my medication was no longer covered - to the tune of almost $1k a month! I am a female and also hope to get pregnant in the future and this past prescription was not safe for pregnant women - so I decided to try something new. I read that magnesium was safe for pregnant women so I decided to give it a try. First off, I only took this medication to help with my stomach/bowel movements. And it works! Even better than the prescription! The prescription was a bit harsh - would cause cramping and even occasional diarrhea (sorry for TMI - I just hope this review helps others in my position!)…not to mention, I wasn't completely comfortable with its lack of safety. After taking a high dose of this Magnesium Citrate however, I feel like a normal person again! It's completely gentle! The first day I took it, I could feel my tummy "rumble" a bit when the medicine kicked in, but now it is totally smooth sailing. Let me also say that I have tried EVERYTHING - Milk of Magnesia; complete change of diet - no dairy, no gluten, high fiber - EVERYTHING; enemas; harsh laxatives; all natural laxatives -- literally everything. Second, I did not expect to get any other benefits from this medicine - but I got them anyway! I've always suffered from twitching in my eye which drives me crazy. Since taking this medicine - completely gone! Not only that, but my legs cramps and constant muscle/neck aches are no more! I also have not had a single headache since taking this pill - which I used to have daily. That may be due to the lack of tension in my back/neck…or possible something different. Regardless, I am thrilled. Finally, I have also had SO much better sleep with this medicine! I take my final dose at bed time and snooze like a baby. Honestly, I have never felt stronger about a supplement/drug in my life. It's changed my entire quality of living. Highly recommend!!!
