This is the 3rd compass I bought for my boyscout kid. The first one was a 5-in-one from REI. He lost some parts on his first camping trip. The.second one was a 6-in-one from Amazon. He didn't like it saying it was too small. Then this one came. He is finally happy. It is very well made, heavy duty and of good qualify. It really made him feel.like a real tool on his trip. Downside is it is on the heavy side so may not be suitable for backpacking. But for car camping it is perfect.
