I considered the fact that I might hate the taste and I would be out $27
Preface: Before I buy ANYTHING, I thoroughly research it and read reviews. When there are a lot of reviews, I don't just read a few, I comb through pages and pages of them. My purchasing decisions - whether to buy or not - are based almost entirely on reviews. Because they are consumer generated, I put a lot of stock in them. I had such a tough time deciding whether or not to buy this product because there were so many unfavorable reviews, particularly about the taste. So, weeks went by, and I kept coming back to read more, until I finally told myself to make a decision. I considered the fact that I might hate the taste and I would be out $27, because the reviews clearly stated that the company does not accept returns if they are based on taste. Although I don't go around squandering money, I decided I was willing to live with that loss. Taste: Since this seems to be the recurring complaint, I'm addressing this first. When I received the product, I waited 3 days to try it, because honestly I was afraid to! Realizing how ridiculous it was to have spent the money but not bother to try the product, I finally built up the courage. I followed the instructions to a T. I waited a half hour after eating. I am a cold, unsweetened green tea drinker, so I put 1/2 a scoop (the recommended amt. for the first 4 days) in 10 oz of that, and stirred with a spoon until dissolved, which happened effortlessly. When I took a sip, I am not making this up, I smiled. It tasted like my childhood. I didn't grow up on real oj. We drank Tang, and during the really lean times, my mom would dilute it in water to make it go a little further. It isn't strong, it isn't tangy or tart, it isn't sweet, it isn't salty. It isn't any of those things I read. It's a mild Tang or Kool Aid type orange taste. Granted, I am speaking only for myself and my experience and taste buds, but I am shocked at how harsh some of the reviews are. Performance: I am a treadmill runner. To be more specific, about 3 miles a day, 5 x a week on average. I waited 45 minutes after drinking it, and got on my treadmill. About 10 minutes into my run, I had a burst of energy, and I ran harder and faster than I ever had. To be clear, I wasn't trying to and I didn't set out to do it, I couldn't help it and I couldn't stop. It was like my body couldn't control the need to burn the energy it had flowing through it. It felt incredibly good! The only thing I cannot comment on is whether or not it had a significant impact on my keto numbers. I haven't checked my numbers in quite a while. My body tells me when I'm in a deep ketogenic state; I can feel it. It's been a week, and if all it is doing is giving me this amazing energy which allows me to work out at an optimum level I would not otherwise reach, that is enough for me. Clarity: The best way to describe how it feels, and you may not be able to relate if you've never had sinus trouble, but, your head feels like it does after you've felt blocked and stuffy from sinuses, and then how you feel when it clears up. That's the closest thing I can use as an analogy to how it felt in my head. Clear and very lucid and sharp. No heaviness. Granted, exercise is great for mental clarity, but I feel like it is a little more pronounced when coupled with this. Final thoughts: Everyone is different, and everyone will achieve different results and have divergent opinions, but as for me, this product exceeded my expectations in all areas, and I hope that if you decide to try it, that you are just as pleased as I am and that you achieve the same benefits I'm enjoying from it.
