Best Budget Soundbar Hands Down
150?!
How? The packaging was perfect, instructions were easy to read and they gave me more than enough cabling to complete the job or mount the unit (bracket, screws and wall template). I've spent 3-4 times as much on similar units from Sony and others and I'm kicking myself because this unit sounds just as good if not better. For my 20' x 14' Family room, the bass is deep and booming and adjustable depending on the source I feed it. So far, no audio sync issues with any sources or streaming apps. The Bluetooth cracked a few times when I was about 10 feet away, but I'm not sure that was a problem with the unit, but rather the stream or interference. Otherwise, syncing took about 30 seconds from my iPhone and Spotify was up and running and sounding VERY full a spacious. Some tracks sounded a bit "bright" but I've grown to expect this from any and all digital formats regardless of what I'm listening to, or listening to it on.
Speech is clear, mids are snappy and the bass unit (placed next to my couch) rumbles a good part of my sectional at mid-way turned up. I won't dock it a star, but a small LCD screen with basic information might have been nice to include on the unit, but for the cost its not noticeable. Ohh, another nice thing is when you turn on the TV and the Optical cable sends a signal to the speaker, it automatically turns on the unit. It synced perfectly to my DirecTV Remote and was found with the codes built into the DTV service.
Overall, with about 8 hours of listening time, I can confirm you wont find a better unit for the price. Had I paid $400 for the speaker, I'd still feel I had gotten a great deal.
