Ionic Bluetooth Keyboad
UPDATE AT BOTTOM:
I did a lot of research when I was looking for a case for the Kindle Fire HD 7". Unfortunately on Amazon there are some really cheap options that will fit 7" tablets but not one necessarily made for the Kindle Fire. That being said, this one is specifically made for the Kindle Fire HD 7" and it fits like a glove. Very well made case and I expect it to hold up for the life of my Kindle Fire....What more could you expect from a case???
As far as keyboards go for the Kindle Fire, I paired my apple bluetooth keyboard up to the Kindle Fire and it was very very buggy; sometimes pressing a key on the keyboard will result in multiple characters (for exampleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...you get what I mean). This keyboard does the same thing which is incredibly annoying! That being said I am confident that the problem is with the Kindle Fire (Amazon) and not with this specific case so I am not docking a star for that.
What I am docking a star for is the small size of the keyboard. The actual platform that the keyboard fits into is 6" X 9" and the keyboard is only 3" in width. A major pro of the keyboard is that it comes with a charger (so no batteries). The main problem with it is the keys are too small to really pick up and start typing a document on, thus the deduction of one star. I don't consider myself too picky when writing reviews, but seriously speaking, the keyboard will not get much use from me because of it's size. I know, I know, it's not a laptop, but Amazon should have made the Kindle more compatible with other blue-tooth keyboards.
Overall the product is very well made and I am very happy with it. The magnets that hold the keyboard to the case are of exceptional quality and the stand works great. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Shipping was prompt and I received it in under a week.
*****UPDATE******
Well I was really upset to learn of the new software update for the kindle fire (7.2.1), but that is because i had to re-root my device to get my custom launcher to work. What is awesome about the update is Amazon fixed the bluetooth problems that we were all complaining about!! Way to go Amazon!! The keyboard works great now without a hitch in typing.
It just goes to show that Amazon listens to its customers and we should continue to use the forums to offer up our suggestions and/or issues that need to be resolved.
