They are very bright and TALL! I had to stand on a tall bar stool chair and reach all the way up to hang them (which I did using push pins at the top of each vertical strand, and they seem very sturdy up there). I did hang the strands closer together, as they are quite far apart, but even pushed together they take up a massive portion of wall and look pretty impressive. I ordered 4 for a school event and I am so tempted to purchase more at the $22 price. The pictures look like they are different colors - that is just the wall that is orange reflecting off certain lights. I also took a picture of how you can space the lights as you desire very easily. The table is a tall table FYI - the lights are seriously tall.
