So, I received these pants in the mail TODAY and couldn't wait to try them on! Great quality especially for the price and overall the perfect fit. I'm what my daughter calls an "hourglass" shape (big up top, small waist and big bottom lol).... I'm also 5'9.5" (I wear a 10/12 in jeans fyi). If I pull them down on my hips a little bit they reach just above my ankles but I like them how they are in the picture. They can be worn as a jumpsuit but if you're tall they're not going to come down too far....they hit just below my knees when I pull them up as a jumpsuit. The string is for decoration as it doesn't pull them in or let them out. I cut it off but they were still cute with the string left on them. Hope this post helps someone. Love these pants and I WILL be ordering more!
