... they "pay" you for 5 star reviews... (with free filament). Also, I was missing parts... Most of the negatives I came up with have more to do with the learning curve of 3d printing than this printer. This is my first printer and it is a snap to use. I've been printing non stop for the last few days and have had no real issues (related to the product). My only issue is that 3d printing is difficult. There are a lot of variables involved... a lot. But after a day or so of working on settings and about 50 small calibration prints later... I have things dialed in nicely and life is good. Pros: As of 03 March 2017 - Prints larger than you can get from any pre-built printer at this price. I think the same money will get you half the print size if you buy pre-built. - Good quality prints - With some tweaking, I am printing to 0.15 mm accuracy on my 2nd day of tinkering (I think i can improve on that still.) - Was pretty much plug and play (after following the install instructions) - Easy to use Cons: - As another person had mentioned, the "pay" you for 5 star review with a free roll of filament. Look at these other reviews and you will see... they have missing and broken parts come with the kit and still give it 5 stars... shady. - I was also missing some non-vital parts in my kit. I did not bother calling as it was not worth my time. I just printed or purchased what was missing - Semi-clear build instructions... if you are not good at building things, you will struggle. There are a few things that are skipped or not clarified in the instructions due to, what I assume, are revisions in their product. That being said, it's not that hard to figure out. - Inaccurate or potentially faulty extruder thermistor. I have to print my PLA prints at 245*C in order for them to work. This is about 25*C higher than recommended. Anything less and it will not extrude. I would purchase this item again and if they didn't pay people for reviews, I would probably have given it 5 stars... well, 4.5 since I was missing parts.
