This works very well for us. Our tub has a slight texture on the bottom, which is not an issue for this mat considering the large amount of suction cups. The only complaint that my wife had was that it had a potent vinyl smell for the first week or two of use. It didn't bother me, but I definitely noticed it. I would recommend pulling it up often to rinse and let dry.
