I have this battery for about 6 weeks. It took about 2 weeks for delivery from China. The customer rep is very responsive and helpful. I consulted many times with CHINS customer rep on the technical questions around the battery. I performed 2 tests in order for me to convince for my next purchase with CHINS battery. The first test was the battery self-discharge test. From the time the battery was disconnected from the charger (MPPT or AC charger), it had 14.13V. Then, you waited for 24 hrs to read the voltage. The battery voltage shows 13.82V. The CHINS factory spec indicated that the battery should be in the range of 13.6 to 13.8V after 24hrs of fully charged. The factory monthly self-discharge rate is 3% or less. Mine shows after 2 weeks 1.7% and after 3 weeks 2.2%. I stopped the test after 3 weeks since I was more into battery capacity test. The 0.1c test for battery capacity test. Basically, you discharge the battery continuously at a rate of 20A till the battery is depleted 97%, then you read the Wh and Ah. You need a Wattmeter to perform this test. In my test, the Wattmeter shows 2.48kWh and 194Ah. It took about 9 hrs to do this. In summary, I'm very happy with the purchase and plan to purchase more batteries from CHINS for my cabin. I don't know about the future quality, at least you know CHINS battery meets its factory spec. I may post future updates later. Update: The pic was taken as soon as completing the 0.1c test, has 12.1V. The other picture is after 0.1c test and the battery was fully charged + idle for 48 hrs, has 13.7V. The battery held consistent voltage as per factory spec. Update (4/15/21): I was able to run the battery self discharge test for 31 days. The battery meets its factory specification (3% or less per month). Mine is about 2.6% per 31 days. Update (5/15/2021): The 2nd month (alone) battery self discharge is about 0.8%. Total 2 months self discharge is 3.3% with average 1.65% per month. The battery meets its factory spec. Update (6/14/2021): The 3rd month (alone) battery self discharge is about 0.3%. Total 3 months self discharge is 3.6% with average 1.2% per month. Factory recommendation is to charge the battery every 3 months idle. It took only 11 minutes (w/CHINS AC-DC charger) to charge the battery fully. This will be my last update. I'm very happy and confident of CHINS battery quality.
