This interactive toy can be turned on and left for cats to play and be entertained with when we just don’t have the time (during the day). We have two older kittens who LOVE to sleep all day and keep us awake at night, so ANYTHING we can do to keep them up during the day is a WIN(!!!). The cute toy has 3 different modes: the disc can move around ur room by itself while twirling a suspended butterfly; you can turn off disc movement and just have butterfly twirl around; or you can have disc move around without the butterfly spinning around. We tend to mix up the modes to keep some variance and surprise with it. Our cats “mostly” just watch it VERY intently(!), but when in the mood, will launch at it too. One likes the butterfly, one likes the feathers. Our BIGGEST concern(!) w/toy is with the fiber optic lights that stick out of the feathers!! If toy is still, cat will come up and try to chew on those plastic strands—which just cannot be “safe.” I don’t know WHY those are even there(!), as they don’t add anything special for the cats (it’s more cool optics for the humans!). I will most likely cut them off so as not to always worry about it hurting someone. But, with that said, this toy is o/w genius!! I also like that if cats walk away from it for a while (10min?) it will SHUT ITSELF DOWN(!!!)—so huge(!)—so it doesn’t waste power. AND, it they decide to come back & bat at it, it will turn itself “back on” by itself too! We like to pair it with a Lazer light toy that spins around. Between the two going, the kittens will stay entertained for a good hour, so I can get some work done(!). I charged disc about 2 wks ago, with the included USB cord (but no adapter), and it is STILL going on that same charge also! I made a video, but I need to add that the motorized sound is not nearly as loud as it sounds(??). The kittens are skittish over any loud or strange noises, but they are NOT afraid of this toy. It’s not that loud. They are just too fascinated with it lol! I do think for the price, it should have included a replacement toy or two. These HAVE held up very well though—even through some major sneak attacks!! Definitely now one of our Top 5 toys in the house! Love it!
