I had been using Pura D'or gold shampoo for about three weeks before I purchased the conditioner. As the shampoo is a bit pricey I decided to wait to see if I liked it. I have stuggled with thinning hair for the past 5 years or so since I reached a certain age. For me the shampoo definitely needs a conditoner. This is a good conditoner. It is not extremely moisturizing but great for me on most days. I am an everyday hair washer so my hair can get drier on the ends. I had been regularly applying a leave in mist before I started these products and I kept up with that. Just me. There is no overpowering smell for this conditoner. Reminds me of baby power. I am attaching pictures of my journey. The first is before beginning Pura D'or, the second after three months, the last two were taken 6 months afterward. Today 7/3/2015! The last photo is how I wear my hair. No more too short bangs, no more wisps of hair sticking up making a weird side part. Just nice, normal hair!!!! Feels sooooo good! ONE YEAR UPDATE! Jan, 2016. My hair has gotten used to using this conditioner which has no silicones. Along with significantly reduced hairloss, my hair and is now lively and shiny, too. I was so used to the slickness of silicones both in my shampoo and conditioning product that I had no idea how natural, clean hair felt. I was washing the life and lustre out of my hair and trying to replace them with chemicals which only accumulated on the hair shaft and made it worse!!! Now, I can wash my hair ever other day, except in extreme heat. I have also learned that silicones can build up and also lead to hairloss. So it is a reason to keep using Pura D'or shampoo and conditioner or at least products that are silicone free.
