Don't walk, run to buy this case. It's that good.
It's not often that I write reviews on something I generally consider disposable or throwaway. A lot of times you buy these "cheap" cases and don't expect too much because they aren't from one your bigger name brand companies like Otterbox, Trident, Lifeproof, etc. I do a lot of backpacking and I've broken my fair share of high-end smartphones because I didn't have a protective case on my phone. So when I got my S8+ I went looking for a protective case that could take the abuse. To my surprise, no one, I mean no one offered a case that included a full-wrap, protective front screen except this one from Clayco. THIS IS THE ONLY CASE THAT INCLUDES A FRONT PROTECTIVE SCREEN. It took nearly 4 weeks to receive my case, but it was well worth the wait. Seriously, I was so impressed by the design and quality of the materials I spent the time to take some photos and do this review. I do not have a tempered screen protector on my S8+ due to the infinity screen and I don't think the front protective clear plastic screen on the Clayco would fit over one. It's already a perfect fit and the front snaps over your naked S8+ first before the soft, but firm, double layered back piece goes over the front. The usb-c and headphone port have rubber covers to protect from dust and moisture. This is not a waterproof case, I wouldn't be throwing this in any stream or lake. The front cover has hole cutouts for the ear speaker and cameras and the bottom has holes for the speaker and mic. I'm so impressed by the fit-n-finish. The back plastic design has a nice diamond plate texture that is subtle and doesn't pillow out the back one bit. The case doesn't make the phone seem much bigger which is a total surprise. Most of the shockproof cases just make the phone seem fat, this surprisingly doesn't. The front cover fits so tightly into the case that you really have to work the back case off to even get the case apart before inserting your phone. I used a plastic spudger but eventually figured out you can use your finger nail to work the back case off if you take your time. It's form fit for sure. Another indication of well designed case. Wireless charging works perfectly fine through the case. Didn't see any drop in speed and the case sits flat on my Tylt Vu charging stand. For the price you won't find a better rugged case. It probably took 4 weeks to get my case because smarter people before me figured this out and bought all the available stock right away. I bought this to keep in the drawer for when I go hiking or go on vacation and need that extra protection.
