I purchased the Ultra-Stick after having paid the exact same price for something similar at a local discount retailer. The discount retailer's stick was all plastic and was not as solidly built as this one is. Well, needless to say, I returned that one after I saw the Mueller blender stick on Amazon. It is great! I was interested in these blender sticks because I have seen them used on many cooking shows and just thought they looked like they would out perform the old-fashioned mixer I had been using for 30 years. Guess what? I was right and it is super easy to use, lighter than my mixer, takes up less space, tougher, more speed, and more useful. Plus, it just looks cool. For drinks, I would suggest getting a tall steel cup like they advertise on Amazon. Just makes life easier.
