First off, I want to include a disclaimer that while my review of this pencil is great, I recognize that others may not like it but they cannot dislike it because of its' quality. I'm a junior engineering student and multiple classmates of mine have tried it and prefer their own choice of mechanical pencils and yet another good amount have actually liked this pencil so much they placed orders right after trying mine. The build and quality of this type over the plastic one which I had before is great. The knurled grip provides a great grip and the metal body places the weight towards the writing part of the pencil which makes it feel better when writing. I have this pencil in both .5mm and .3mm. The .5mm writes just as small as a non rotating .3mm and is uniform and consistent. I'm able to write complex stacked equations on one line of notebook paper and have the writing still be neat and legible. I swear by this pencil. In fact, I actually have three of the .5mm ones and two of the .3mm ones just in case I misplace one. They just feel so goo in your hand and cover my main peeve with regular mechanical pencials which is the inconsistent thickness when you write. My only suggestion is to pay the extra dollar and get it shipped from amazon rather than from Japan because the shipment from Japan takes over a month to arrive. Trust me. I know... But really that's all I have to say about this. It is a great pencil and the only one that I use and ever plan to use for all of my engineering work.
