This is the newest puzzle game from Blue Ox. The first was 7 Little Words to which my wife and I are absolutely addicted. Red Herring gives you four columns of words/things/concepts. Three columns have four words, and you have to place related items in each columns, leaving you one column that is unrelated: that's your red herring. Each puzzle can be played in an easy, "normal," or hard version. They start you off with 50 puzzles, and then you can buy more at 99¢ per set. I've been playing for the last two hours, and it too can be addictive. Although similar to a couple of other word apps, I particularly like this one because you know when you're wrong and there are only a certain number of solutions (unlike some where you have to buy hints or the answer and then the answer turns out to be really obtuse). At last count, I have downloaded 16 word play apps. I have two left on my android and kindle tablets. One is 7 Little Words which I've had since 2012 and play every night. With three levels of difficulty, Red Herring is really a great way to pass time or get your little gray cells working. It's bound to be in my top 5 game apps. Update: I asked support if they would be giving one free puzzle a day as they do with 7 Little Words, and I've been assured that that is forthcoming. ew
