Well made unit
I read the reviews before I bought this. This unit may or may not work for you but by no means is this a piece of junk. The frame is made of steel with welded joints. As far as the cushion being hard; yes it is but that is the point. You do not want a soft cushion that will cause your back to bent into it! As far as the post hurting your arm pit; there are ways around this. You can hold your hands on the top of the post to take some of the pressure away from your arm pits or just put your hands on the floor to take some of the pressure away from your arm pits. I am not a Dr. so I am NOT telling what to do; I will only tell you what I do. When you hurt your back your muscles will tighten to protect your spine. If you stretch to take pressure off your spine all that is going to happen is you are going to pull on your tighten muscles. So you end up having a tug of war with yourself and put yourself in more pain. What I do is put a heating pad down on the bench before I tried to stretch at all. When I feel that my muscles are relax I stretch a little. I wait a little to make sure my muscles are still relax and stretch a little more. Remember this is not to see who can stretch the most; a little stretch goes a long way, so don't over do it. I hope this helps someone.
