So this item was recommended because I was looking into getting a Roomba, and to be honest...got intimidated due to that $300-1,300+ price point for that brand. But then I see this product and wondered if the quality of cleaning would be significantly lower, read up on the reviews and pretty much all positive and said fk it I'll take the gamble/plunge. It's day 1 and I gotta say...I'm really #$%ing impressed. I swept my living room prior (I have linoleum panels on my floor) and I have a cat. despite me sweeping my floors prior to the amount of cat hair, and litter that I apparently missed is mind-boggling...or I'm a really bad sweeper. It's fairly simple to set up and plug-in and plays. it's a little bigger than I was expecting but when you think about it's understandable, it's pretty quiet noise could be compared to leaving the faucet of water running or a fan on. Currently, my cat is terrified and curious about it, currently keeping at bay until she confirms if it's friend or foe. I've left it on for about 30 mins in my living room before I had my first hiccup, got caught on loose ethernet cord; but very minor and simple fix, simply lifted it off the wire, made a quick adjusted on making sure the wire is out of the way and resumed as normal. Also, the really cool thing is, it does a pretty good job at finding it's way home, although I feel like the Base/Dock should be a bit sturdier..maybe denser? if it's not against a wall sometimes move out of the way a bit and has a little trouble docking; that being said it does a swivel to make sure it matches up against it's charging points/connectors so not a big issue. Overall I think I made a good investment, will update this in a months time; feel free to ask any questions I'll give you my honest answer based on how I've been using it. Pros: ++ Strong vacuum ++ Cleans up pet hair (short hair tabby) ++ Picks up cat litter pretty well (crystal + sand mix) + Reasonably quiet, could honestly sleep with it running in the background. ++ Good wall/blockage detector; turns fast enough to avoid hitting or bumper catches it instantly + Battery life is great so far, been running it for about an hour+ +++ Easy garbage disposal...like realllllly easy ++ easy pop off for brushes for cat toys (strings) Cons: - Don't have wires/ strings laying around, I have a cat so...got a lot of strings everywhere..don't judge me - A cat might be plotting assassination attempt against it
