I bought this from my local Bed Bath and Beyond thinking that returning it shouldn't be a problem if it didn't work. I was very skeptical, I mean really, four suction cups holding up 50lbs of weight for an extended amount of time? Well, when I got home I put it together which was fairly easy. Threading the line through the two top suction cups was kind of a pain, and the PVC pipes felt a little flimsy but I figured that was to be expected from a $20 dollar item. I cleaned the glass with windex (leaving the glass slightly damp) and really put a lot of pressure on to the cups to ensure a secure grip. It felt sturdy, so I put my heaviest cat on there (about 20lbs) and he didn't move for a good 3 hours! My other cats are warming up to it, and upon inspecting the suction cups again they haven't moved or lost suction. So far so good, I'm kind of just waiting for the suction cups to come loose and fall, I guess we'll have to see. *one week later* Still hasn't moved or slipped with regular cat use. Very impressed.
