These glasses are properly rated for sun spotting and I got them for the upcoming eclipse. I tried them out upon arrival and noticed you cannot see anything through them except for the sun. When you put them on, be prepared to see the sun like never before! I was amazed to see the dark spot on the sun with my own eyes! Up to this point, I've only seen it in pictures and documentaries. With care, these glasses will last a long time and can be used for sun spotting well after this eclipse.
