I used these shelves to make a reading area at my daycare without using up a ton of play space. These shelves are awesome! If I wanted, I could stain or paint them, but for now they are plain to keep uneccessary chemicals out of the play area. As you can see, plenty of varying sizes of books fit into each shelf. I will also be putting these shelves in my bathroom to get the stuff that clutters the vanity up and off the counter top!
