I love vampire romances! This is my first book by this author, and I liked it, but I'm not sure it qualifies as a vampire romance. The premise was intriguing - young bounty hunter teams up with elder vampire to find evil mage. The heroine, Reagan, is compelling - beautiful, strong, and wicked funny. The hero, if there is one, is Darius, and he was also compelling - handsome, sexy, strong, and protective. They had good chemistry, but very little romance. The storyline was entertaining and unpredictable, but heavy on the paranormal theme. I liked the author's writing style - plenty of action and dialogue, several laugh-out-loud moments, and one laugh-until-I-cried moment, but a little too many long fight scenes for my taste. Overall, a good book, and I can't wait for the next one in the series!
