I've had nothing but great experiences with this charger. The extra cord length was the main feature I needed. Amazon's return policy made the trial of this a no-brainer. The quality is very good. Unlike other chargers, this one doesn't wiggle in the Fire's (or any other) socket. As far as 'rapid' goes, I don't feel any charger is truly that fast and safe for the battery. The charge performance while using my Fire is superb. I get excellent battery life from my 8.9" HD and 7" Fires. I recommend this higher than a 5 star.
