Disclaimer: I bought this Better Home and Gardens white 13 cube organizer from Walmart instead of Amazon because I got it for $7 cheaper, which is not a big difference, but I did it in case I needed to return it for damages it would be easier. After setting up, I thought I’d go ahead and review it here since it was the same thing. Onto the review: This product is particle/MDF board (not real wood) with the white being a thin paper put on there for the color, but I expected that when ordering so that’s not an issue for me. As far as set up went, it took me 1.5 hrs to do on my own since I was too impatient to wait for my husband to get home and help. It could have been shorter with his help but also shorter on my own because I spent meticulous time making sure all parts were there and then also gluing the dowels in for extra sturdiness. The instructions are just photos with some worded instructions but overall were clear to me. Pay attention to the photos and make sure you do exactly as shown. I wasted about 10-15 min because I set one of the shelves in wrong. It was a quick fix since I hadn’t screwed anything in yet, but still time consuming. It’s a fairly heavy shelf; the box showed 107 lbs before I opened it. I set it up in a different room than where it was intended so I wouldn’t wake the baby, but moving it wasn’t difficult for me later. I put a blanket underneath and slid it so it’s doable with one person, but would be easier with 2. Against the wall the bookcase feels pretty sturdy but I will be installing the wall strap yet just for safety reasons; I wouldn’t want it tipping if my daughter tried to climb it. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the look, feel, and sturdiness if the bookcase. I have only one complaint and that is when I went to pull off the warning label sticker, some of the white thin paper came with so I left the sticker on and set up the shelf so that it was on the top shelf underneath so it’s not even noticeable. It’s really my fault for pulling it off so fast and not being careful as I knew what could happen, but still slightly disappointed. Other than that, I love this product and definitely recommend to anyone who’s hesitant on buying it, whether it be on Amazon, Walmart, or whoever else sells these. I also want to add that I LOVE that it has 12 cube spaces and that they’re 13” and true to size. I bought some cube storage boxes off of amazon and they fit snug but perfect. I’ll post a link of the ones I bought yet, which are the ones pictured.
