We have used a V6 for several years and we were very pleased with its performance. The only issue we have with the V6 is its battery life. We received our V8 From Amazon a few days ago. I installed the charging unit and fully charged the V8. I used the V8 today and was very impressed. I was familiar with the V6 so I kept waiting for the battery to exhaust it's charge but it kept going. I was able to sweep at least three times more than the V6. We have a long haired German Shepard and had to empty the V8 three times. The way you empty the V8 sweeper is much better than the V6. If I was going to make a purchase for the first time and was debating between a V6 and a V8, I would definitely go with the V8. Probably because of the hepa filter, the V8 is significantly quieter than the V6.
