What You Expect
Let’s be real here, doing the dishes is a chore that can really strain your relationship at times. I did them last! You aren’t rinsing them right! Yadda, yadda. You know the deal.
So as a family of three, we decided that a dishwasher would enhance our quality of life. We could never keep up with our dishes, I love smoothies and my husband has the metabolism of a cheetah.
When it arrived, there were no dents and it hooked up very easily. No leaks, either. You can also tell it had been through quality control because a tiny bit of water poured out of the hose when we first got it.
I run this dishwasher once to twice a day. Yes, it is small. I feel like this should be common sense, it is a countertop dishwasher and cannot hold the capacity of one that goes under your counter. Yes, you have to really rinse your dishes off before you run it so you can get all of the food crud off.
Dishwashers aren’t miracle workers, they essentially run hot, soapy water at your dishes with jets. If food has been stuck to your dishes for days, or it is a substance that is hard to get off, this dishwasher doesn’t have little hands that will scrub it off. You have to do that first.
Overall, I am happy with this purchase and it’s what I expected. I’ve had it for about a month with no problems. I do not find it particularly loud or obnoxious. My only qualm is that it does not dry, at all. On any setting. It is supposed to be a drying dishwasher, so not sure what happened there. However, what do you expect for the price? We just keep the door slightly ajar after it has ran and it dries naturally.
