I had to purchase three sizes. I have 3 rabbits. A Holland Lop that weighs 4 lbs, and two larger Californian rabbits that weigh about 10-12 pounds. I initially bought a size Small for my smaller Holland lop and a size XL to test the fit on one of my larger rabbit. The size small (purple harness in photo) did not fit my 4 lb Holland Lop. It was too tight for him to move around comfortably. I did not even try putting the size XL on either of my two larger rabbits, I could tell it wouldn't fit. So, I purchased a (blue in photo) size Medium for my 4 lb Holland Lop, and that fit him. I tried it outside and was very satisfied with the fit. It was snug but not too snug. He did not mind it either, he was just happy to be outside. I would suggest this halter only be used for rabbits under 7 lbs, even at the largest size available, and to make sure to use it on your rabbit inside first, and only take them to quiet areas for short periods of time. I now have one harness I can use, and two that I can't return, however, so I detracted a star for that.
