These are my first watercolor pencils. I am an adult colorist and sometimes I want something faster than layering with colored pencil. I must say that they are creamy like Prismacolor without water. With water the color is vibrant and doesn't feel chalky except if you add too much. Very nice to lay Prismacolor pencil on top of it. They must be centered well(although barrel is closed off) because they never break and the tip is pretty even around and the actual wood casing/barrel feels like a Polychromos (not round) smooth. I am also impressed with the tin and I kept it for my paintbrushes even though I moved the pencils to a case. The real selling point for me as a colorist is that THEY DO NOT BLEED THROUGH COLORING PAGES! These pencils can also be blended dry with a regular colorless blender pencil. Colorist need these pencils and I will buy if they ever come out with a larger set of maybe 150? The color name/number/and lightfastness writing is pretty big and easy to read for people who may have eyesight problems.
