I was skeptical at first but....
Although I was skeptical at first I decided to take the dive and purchased this product. First my issue, constant callers from marketers and bill collectors looking for my son who racked up bills with them and who no longer lives with us. Every single day we can 5-15 calls from scammers, spoofed numbers, cell phones, unknowns you name it we get it. I initially tried using the number blocking feature of my cordless phone but it had a limitation of 20 numbers, always rang at least once before silencing and since scammers change their number all the time that became difficult to manage. The national do not call registry is useless, answering the phone and threatening legal action is useless as well. So here comes this product. It looked a little flimsy and it was shipped from overseas but that should not bother anyone. Easy to set-up, just make sure you connect it correctly and READ the instruction booklet it came with. So here is how it is suppose to work. A call comes in, you press the block button and it blocks the caller the next time they call. Well I was unable to confirm that the pressing of the button actually works or not since I did not get a confirmation light from the LED's and the instructions were very vague on that feature. So I ignored the button feature and decided to use the program feature. Fairly simple, you pick up your phone press **7# and you hear a beep then enter the recent number you want to block and press the # key again and you get another beep that confirms that number is now blocked. Guess what.... IT WORKS like a charm. After a few annoying calls I simply enter the numbers I want to block and BAM, they are blocked. its kind of funny to see these scammers try to spoof their numbers and change them but you will get pretty good at blocking "area codes" or just out of area numbers. Be aware that it is important that this device be connected before any phones. Meaning you CAN NOT just plug it into an extension and expect it to work. If you have a prewired house and still using old phone service with extensions in each room you are going to have to change the wiring a bit. If you have cordless phones which most of use in the modern world have, this device MUST be connected before you main cordless unit.
