Definitely feels like a $60 case
Just received the case today, material construction looks and feels good. The magnets seem to be quite strong as well.
I've also done a couple of quick writing tests and find that the stand is somewhat less secure in the furthest setting (where the angle of the tablet is the most shallow) than when it is more vertical. It remains to be seen if this will be an issue while taking notes/writing for an extended period of time.
Additionally, I find that in portrait mode, either holding case/tablet in hand or resting on a surface, that having the pencil in the holder on the back makes it somewhat unwieldy. My recommendation would be to put the pencil somewhere else while in portrait mode. Obviously this defeats the purpose so perhaps it would be best served by moving the pencil holder to the edge of the case.
will continue to update as use increases
Update 11-8-18
I have used the case for two continuous weeks of lectures, despite my initial concerns about stability at the shallower angles, I have experienced no issues with the case collapsing.
My only continued issue is the location of the pencil holder (on the back), there is some inconvenience when laying the tablet down to work with the pencil still in the holder. It also makes holding the tablet in hand (in portrait mode) somewhat inconvenient as the case does not close flat with the pencil in its holder.
At this point I am unlikely to update this again unless something comes up, but my final recommendation to the consumer is to buy the case, and just deal with the slightly inconvenient location of the pencil holder. To the manufacturer, perhaps move the pencil holder to the edge, just a thought.
